Socratic Seminar Pt. 2 Notes: The Right To Our Opinion

  •  " Know your rights"- is something that other people must honor
  •  Creates another person's allegation
  •  Limbic- governs our emotions
  •  Claim our right to our own is not entitled to someone's opinion
  •  It's important to understand our rights
  •  Enlocal parentis- is the illegal principle to allow teachers to act like parents (that's why school enforces to have dress code)
  •  Syllogism- the simplest form of an argument
  •  Evdience= currency
  •  Money is nothing but a system of agreements
  •  Things that are "sacred"- they're not and when things are "sacred" they are
  •  Claiming our opinion to be right doesn't get us closer on being right
    • We're technically not entitled to someone else's agreement (entitled to them) we attend on sharing our opinion
  • "Our brains are Brillant but or bodies are Dumb"
  •  Giving our opinion- isn't just us saying what we think but provide evidence and using logic to present it as well
