You're Not Entitled To Your Opinion
If you really think about it, you're not entitled to your opinion. Why, if you're asking? Well, first off what does entitled mean? It means that no one has the right to stop people thinking/ saying whatever they want. We as individuals are grown to be "entitled to our opinion" and later on being told not to. Sometimes we say that the other person's argument is invalid due to their interests, knowledge, or personal background. You may that they're being rude or mean but the probably just tell you that they have the "right" to their opinion. Yes, they do but it doesn't mean they have to be rude about it. In other words, a jerk. Have respect towards people that we don't necessarily agree with. If we listen, then we might understand where they're coming from. This comes from the Golden Rule: Treat others the way how you want to be treated. You wouldn't like it if someone did the same thing to you. So then why do it to someone else? Having to listen to that person may change your perspective on the topic; however, if not then you had an intellectual conversation with a person who doesn't agree with you but learned a couple of good reasons/ facts through there.
