Today I Asked A Question

For today's journal, we were asked to answer why do we stop asking questions when we're older but as we're younger we do? While writing and thinking about the question, Dr. Preston mentioned valid facts on this typical question. For instance, "The more we learn the better we are at learning. It's physically and emotionally good for us." It made me realized that it's true that as we learn more and have an open mind for learning the better we're good at it... just like studying or learning something new. An example, that Dr. Preston included during his discussion  was that as kids when we would receive a paper to go to the office we would make a lot of scenarios on why we were asked to go to the office. As kids, we ask questions because we are curious about the world. We want to learn more about the world and school since there are no tests or extra curriculum activities to worry about. Our minds are open to learn and ask questions without worrying about the bad scenarios we make in our heads because kids don't care about what others have to say. They're living in the moment rather than as teenagers/ adults we overthink things.
