- Remix- was originally applied to music
- to combine two materials to produce something new
- Ex) music, photo, and video
- Everyone can do a remix
- When we say remix- can be the thought of arranging them into creative activity
- Romantics (not romance)- were to help humans what to do or not to do
- put out from the government and religion
- Light bulb- represents moment of insight
- Expect- work that is nothing alike
- How do we create (there's 3 basic elements)?
- Domain knowledge- learning the language to create your own spin to it by copying
- Transformation- taking existed stuff into variations
- Combination- merging two things that don't go together
- Ex) equations from Einstein
- Implication- original ideas that are considered as property
- Loss Aversion- when we are copying we really don't notice; however, if someone is taking our ideas that's when we get possessive
- What Dr. Preston added:
- something that could be taught/ building blocks
- Class discussion:
- The reason why a person is talented is because they had put the hours to improve and get better
