Evil can always transform someone's behavior, attitude, and personality for the wrong reasons that a person can be. Also, lead them to a dangerous path. In the short story, Young Goodman Brown written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Goodman Brown is a minster and married to his beloved wife named Faith. At sunset in the town of Salem, Goodman Brown has left to the front door of his house. On his way out, he leans head back inside to kiss his wife goodbye as she, leans out toward the street to embrace him. Faith is wearing a cap adorned with pink ribbons that flutter in the wind. Little does she know that her husband will go to the forest and encounter the evil side of the spiritual world. Hawthorne communicates the theme of evil in life through symbolism, characterization, and allegory.
